Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is a medical treatment method that uses weak electrical impulses to stimulate the body. The aim is to relieve pain, reduce muscle spasms, improve blood circulation and promote tissue regeneration.

Electrotherapy includes various techniques, such as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), electromyostimulation (EMS) and interferential current therapy (IFT). Electrodes are placed on the skin and connected to a device that generates electrical impulses.

TENS is used to relieve pain. Electrical impulses are sent to the affected area to block the pain receptors and promote the release of the body’s own painkillers. EMS is mainly used to strengthen muscles and improve blood circulation. IFT is a technique for muscle stimulation and pain relief that uses low-frequency currents.

Electrotherapy is a painless and non-invasive method that is often used in combination with other forms of therapy such as physiotherapy or massage. Through the targeted application of electrical impulses, quick and effective relief of pain and other complaints can be achieved.

We have extensive knowledge and many years of experience in the use of electrotherapy. We attach great importance to individual therapy planning and adapt the use of electrotherapy to the individual needs and complaints of our patients.

If you suffer from pain or other complaints and are looking for a quick and effective treatment method, electrotherapy can be a good option. Please contact us for more information or to arrange an appointment.
