Shockwave therapy

Shock wave therapy is a non-invasive treatment method that can be used for various diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Sound waves are directed specifically at the affected part of the body to achieve a pain-relieving and regenerative effect.

There are two types of shock wave therapy: radial shock wave therapy and focused shock wave therapy. In radial shock wave therapy, the sound waves are directed superficially at the affected area. This can relieve pain and improve blood circulation. Focused shock wave therapy, on the other hand, penetrates deeper into the tissue and can therefore also be used for deeper diseases such as calcified shoulder or heel spur.

Shock wave therapy is an effective method for relieving pain and reducing inflammation. The treatment is gentle and non-invasive, so in most cases no anesthesia or anaesthetic is required. The duration of treatment and the number of sessions can vary depending on the disease and individual healing process.

In our practice we offer both radial and focused shock wave therapy. We will be happy to advise you in detail about the treatment and create an individual therapy plan together with you. Please contact us if you have any questions about shock wave therapy or would like to make an appointment.
